I think it's inappropriate for teachers to reveal their politics in the classroom. My students don't have a clue as to my leanings.
As to Kim's teacher's pro-life stance, I wonder if she is aware that Palin doesn't believe in the abortion option even in the event of rape. I don't understand how that fact isn't getting more press.
