A horror. And I know the feeling of being a pawn on that chessboard.
Is it at all possible, once things, stabilize a little, to get to somewhere like Sloan Kettering, Boston, Johns Hopkins for a second opinion? The former is the kindest, most empathic, yes even "happy" place - where dignity is kept intact.
