exactly. reminds me of when Tower Records went from $14 to $18 a cd, they all blamed it on their distributer..which i later found out they owned.   ;-\

i spent $17 for PASSION and $7 for SECURITY today (at the Amoeba in the Haight), about as good as you'll get offline. got the Clash, Give  'em Enough Rope ($9)...the new Coldplay ($16)...Fantastic Plastic Machine ($9)...The Roots, Things Fall Apart ($15)...Invisible Scratch Pickles ($14)...Guru (from Gangstarr)'s new joint ($15) - hey, dope rhymes ain't cheap - ...Stewart Copeland's soundtrack to SIMPATICO ($8)...The Call, Reconciled ($5)...and local jangly grl trio The Kirby Grips. good shopping spree today  :)

...although i could have gotten one Hermes tie for the same price. Hmm...
