Smithwick’s:  Poured a cold one into my Guinness/Smithwick’s pint-sized glass (not frosted).  Tasty (in that ale sorta way that I still have trouble appreciating completely). Definitely not as mossy “green” as a lot of ales, so that’s good (Probably not the usual picture, but “green” is how ale tastes to me).  I like the color, the flaxen head, the nose ~ got a little on my nose as a matter of fact, the aftertaste which is nix, the lower carbonation is gentle goin’ down, kinda sweet and malty with that bottomy hops flavour at the swallow, but I’m no beer snob and actually prefer amber or darker lagers for easy drinking and Guinness (draught/tap) above all.  But it’s all getting far too expensive; good beer, …decent wine, …Tanqueray gin, …haven’t even stocked a pint of JWB or Jameson (for that rare moment that calls for whisky/whiskey) since emptying the last one last fall.  Think I’ll have another Smithwick’s ~ got 5 more waiting. Too expensive at a buck-forty-two a bottle.

(Got our girl at home for another week or so b4 the big show, so that's very cool.  Oh, love, oh, ache....)

Cheers!
