Not to take anything from Sean Penn but generally the Oscars follow the prevailing political statement at that moment. Hollywood leans left and so there you have it. I heard the Nixon movie was excellent and probably should have got the best actor Oscar nod. Whatever the motive they got the ratings this year. Again congrats to Penn. Long overdue.
