Whatever gave you that idea? I've travelled in a couple of countries that are nominally 'communist' and there's not much there that I'd want to export back to the USA. (In some sense Laos and Vietnam are more purely 'capitalist' than we are, with anyone able to set up a restaurant on the sidewalk with milk carton chairs, a beer cooler and a small fire for grilling chicken. Oh, and no pesky environmental regulations or building codes either).

Neither do I think that unfettered, 'free-market' capitalism is a viable model. Without any oversight, regulation, and consequences for abusive/criminal behavior you end up in in ... well, you can just look around you and see the the results of the most recent clusterfuck.

So I'm probably more of a democratic socialist, something philosophically closer to the European/Scandinavian model. Would I mind being taxed one half of my income to ensure education, health care, public transportation, and a safety net for all people. Hell, no! I'd gladly contribute.

If that makes me a communist then fine. I'm a communist. Report me.
