First you say..."Crime should not go unpunished but the crime has to be commited first.."

Then you say..."I dare you to get the police off their ass for something you "think" is gonna happen. It just doesn't happen. A woman can know that her ex is going to do her bodily harm but she will told "I'm sorry, he has to do something first."

This is very a good point. I think the reason they don't pull the same stunt in these situations is the economic impact a Greatful Dead show brings to the local economy of the city or town. Could they do it? Sure. Would they? Probably not. Money talks, my friend...
