Where imagination and hope mingle to joggle the mind in directions not immediately apparent. A sidelong glance out the hostel room window shows spring snow flurries above n into the koi pond below a cherry blossom tree fully flowering and a blue jay faking hawk sounds while we smile away midday rubbing baby oil into each other’s body and recall images of a parallel universe we actually know of in our highest minds where Leukemia never learned to propagate because man never forced contamination.

There are just too FUCKING many people diagnosed with cancer, U probably don’t know the half of it! More people dying of cancer these days than is made public; it’s an industry born of bad industry born of hope industry born of articulate desperation.

& it’s not industry killing us. No, business is a right of passage for too many since the Industrial Age. I wouldn’t take that away from the industrious lot who move mountains, allegorically speaking, but it most certainly IS irresponsible industry oh since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution and the dynamic creation of war-machine economics. Go ahead and tell me, "NOT," and I will shun you with a gladness gauged by apt sorrows for the nights I walked the hallways alone and the man who I held in my arms today upon his return home (in this place where we all reside together now) to inform us of his father’s sad passing. I don’t know this man more than a conversation about his family’s restaurant late the other night, but I held him while he cried (and I tried not to, much, until later with my wife.) Doctors do save lives more and more anymore, directly proportional to the advancement o medicine. Those who are dying are the means to an end to some diseases. Some learned men consider it a small price to pay for the sum entirety. But I’m not here to sacrifice my own to this war on cancer born of disregard.

And there isn’t a day goes by now I don’t hesitate to feel disturbed.

Those who would feed their greed are killing this planet’s beings.

I’m preaching maybe, but I don’t mean to be. …It’s a boiling point. .
