From what I've been hearing, Chavez was practically chasing Obama to get that Photo-op.
We could argue forever about what Chavez & his regime is or is not, but I think we can all agree that Chaves is at heart - an Opportunist.
I'm not particularly worried about the handshake - what comes next is the issue.As for Cuba, My Congressional Representative, Marcia Fudge (Tubbs-Jones replacement) got all sorts of flack from the right for smoking cigars with Castro. Her statement on returning from Cuba below.
Again, we'll have to wait for the next step.
