RULE #1
Do not post drunk ((immunity for Mick, certainly, I mean jeez! imagine the alternative))
><<>><
The previous bunk was for sake of...
A: The electric (tri)pod for short hops at 70 MPH from Myers Motors that is symbolic of this increasingly isolated state of digital humanity & resource depletion ...soaked in toxins while rapt in notions of renaissance
&
B: Xavier Rudd, Famine (and the skate vid … and a little tribute to the matriarchal id)
…guess I got a little giddy before & during the Cavs game. Wanting something special to happen regarding a professional sport (when only one team wins) is a raw and mostly iffy deal. So, Disney World versus Disney Land is almost certainly the best (fiscal) match-up. So be it. But here’s the thing that got me kinda gently/quietly/volatile…
<> Maya & I (blessing duly acknowledged & counted, oh thank you) played some tennis yesterday in the late afternoon … on the same court we played so headily on that afternoon before coming home to hear those vile preliminary words on the phone, nearly eight months ago. &, no we weren’t tearin’up the tarmac for a set chock-full o deuces that turn one set into a two-hour tribulation of sweat and laughter, but it wasn’t geriatric volleying either. & I’m watching her there across the net, so beautiful in the partly sunny sunshine. (only) Skinny as a rail, with a new blood-type (now the Yin to my Yang, coincidently) and mostly covered from head to toe in sunny cloths to protect from sun-induced graft versus host disease. …And I kinda started to well up, thinking we were @ some apt connecting point, a nexus; for a moment it felt like we’d never left that court. My knees went soft for a second, …I don’t know, these are the strangest times. Anyway, we came home and we had One beer together just to toast a thing worthy of a toast and more. Then we went out on the screened-porch to watch the birds @ the feeders and listen to the road noises, lines of motorcycles passing as they often do on sunny Saturdays, and she drank Smart Water while unsurprisingly I continued drinking the stupid water and eventually posting the thick-claptrap that made perfect sense last night in the midst of NBA Basketball and excellent company and wind chime tones through the front door.
<> Back to the lodge this afternoon for a little while longer apparently, barring any twist-unforeseeables …AND good onya to the Cavs: they helped make Maya smile while she was in that hospital bed. Bitchin season gents. Thanks. . . . . . . . . .Thanks to select DBIS folk who have been there throughout.
<> Flick Recommendation: (Hans Petter Moland directed) Arbeiderpartiet inspired [IFC] short …called United We Stand. I couldn’t access a link, unfortunately, but try to see it if you can; it is brief and subtitled but worth it. Funny and modestly poignant.
Anyway, today's another day
