Claiming Germany and Austria to be a "world tour" may be strethcing it!!! But then again, you're an American!!! :-)

Depends on what your interests are (apart from movies). If you like museums, you definetly want to go see the "Deutsches Museum" (German Museum) in Munich. Huge and very, very interesting museum. And there's also the BMW museum close to Munich. And you definetly want to go to a downtown Bräuhaus for some "bier und pretzl" and "Nürnberger würstchen mit senf und sauerkraut" (Nuremberger sauge with mustard and sauerkraut" (trust me, it tastes like heaven!)

Don't know about Salzburg, but there's gotta be something Mozart.

Vienna is beautiful. Here you want to try the classic "wienerschnitzel mit bratkartoffeln" (veal chop with potatoes) or the "Hungarian gulash". There's a park there (forget the name), but it has these four giant concrete AAA towers left from WWII. Really a surreal experience right there in the middle of the park. There's also the Hundertwasser House (some weird artist). And they have a small, but nice amusement park.

Have a good one and bring lots of Euros!

Yours, The Danish Pastry
