Watched a movie this morning, The Florentine (’99). A strong cast of actors typically typecast as tough guys in pools of violence are, in this case, asked to interpret a script that is a slice of neighborhood bar humanity culminating in a sappy Hollywood love story finish. It's a play, it's a flick. Been in the can better than a decade already, that means these cats are better than ten years older today, the ones still kickin’ anyway (…R.I.P.) --- geez, these guys are gettin’ old…
I enjoyed it. I’d like to think some real life stories go this way...sometimes.
