Thanks for that link Block, I guess I wasn't looking hard enough after all. That was a pretty complete history.

I should add that I was a little more successful in finding info on Bob's son Robert (Rob) and discovered that he is currently playing lead guitar for Allison Moorer.  He also toured with Scott Miller (formerly of the v-roys) and The Commonwealth promoting their album "Thus Always To Tyrants" (Sugar Hill). Quite a lineup of top shelf talent on that one. I'm gonna have to pick it up. I hadn't really given Rob much thought until yesterday when I started searching for stuff on his dad. When I last saw him, he was 8 or 10 and I remember one afternoon after working on the landscape, Bobby told me to ask Rob to play a Beatle's tune on his guitar.  I asked him which one and he said "any of them. He knows them all."  I think I asked for Penny Lane.  That kid was good, even way back then.  I should have known he'd follow in his dad's footsteps.

Last, but not least, a retraction:

After re-reading my post I realized that I misspelled Bob's last name! Doh!   Nice eulogy huh?, can't even get his name right.   I had tried about every combination of McNelley, McNelly, Mcneely etc. on google and I think the last one McNeely was still stuck in my head.  It's  Bobby Gene McNelley not McNeely.
