Just so you dont get the wrong idea - The woman with the three kids in the small room, but fancy apartment makes a point of saying that she lives in a modern danish design style apartment - She is an architect... In other words this is not normal... Its a yuppie kinda of thing ;-) About half the population lives in suburban kind of villas (80-200 square-meters). The rest is apartments with 1-6 bedrooms. Approximately half the apartments is regular rent, and the rest is divided between ownership and coop-style payment. The most essential thing to notice is that it is a very homogeneous society, where very few are very rich (Im guessing less than ½ %) and similarly at the bottom where less than 2 % would be considered poor. In other words - most of us are middle-class, so corruption, in-equality etc. is pretty much a non-issue. This could lead to a very trusting, naive society, but schools and public Television (which is by far the most viewed channels!) tend to emphasize critical thinking...
