I like ELO and I'm going to have to pull out my old LP of their greatest hits because from what I recall reading in the lyrics of the sleeve, in the song, Can't Get It Out of My Head, the typing was, Midnight on the water.
I saw the ocean's daughter.
Walking on a wave's chicane,
staring as she called my name.
On the lyric sights, it instead reads,
Midnight on the water.
I saw the ocean's daughter.
Walking on a wave she came,
staring as she called my name.
The reason I remember this was because this other high school student and I argued over it and I had to look the word up in a dictionary. I still remember him yelling, "It's SHE CAME you moron." Just found this place that has retained my memory....http://www.kissthisguy.com/12466misheard.htm
