A meandering I go
Thank you for your wonderful response. I asked the questions partly because of the music my son is most attracted too and thought that might be what you listened to in your youth. He loves Horace Silver, the big bands, getting to like John Coltrane more now that he has read a biography of him, etc. Really hates rap, hip hop, heavy metal, etc. He also enjoys the Beatles. He just turned 14. We heard alot of Mozart and Beethoven, all the long hairs, growing up. For me Beethoven's 9th symphony always puts me in a better place. My son would love to be a professional musician (he plays the trombone) and so I am curious what area of music your son and grand-son are in. We are trying to instill the idea he needs a back-up profession as well. I also believe that to truly change anything at this point you have to start in your own backyard and keep it sustainable for it to spread out. Cheers!
