FBI Informant Reportedly Lived With 9/11
HijackersFrom USA TodayCongressional investigators found that an FBI
informant lived with two of the Sept. 11
hijackers, Newsweek Magazine reported
Sunday. It said the informant was a tested
undercover asset who had worked closely with
the FBI on Hamas terrorist cases. He claims to
have lived with Saudi nationals Khalid Al-Midhar
and Nawaf Al-Hazmi. "I know those guys" , the
magazine quoted the informant as telling the
FBI after the attacks. "They were my
roommates." I.C. Smith, a former top
counterintelligence official, told Newsweek that
at least, the informant's case worker should
have paid more attention to the contacts, if only
to scout for more information.
