Darden's great--he kicked around Columbia from about '87-'93. In between, recorded an album with Boo Hewerdine. (Boo appears on Darden's '93 classic Little Victories).

He was MIA between '96-'01. Resurfaced in '01 with an acoustic 'best-of' release called Extra Extra...just released the terrific Sunflower on Dualtone. He's part of the new Austin mafia with Radney Foster, Abra Moore, et al. A wonderful songwriter. I highly recommend Little Victories (a little more produced than anything else he's done--think Bedtime Stories without the cast of characters) and Sunflower.
