There’s a lot to be said about the usurping and toxic nature of the tangible mediums. The materials involved in manufacturing and packaging of CDs, well…like books, etc., it’s a weighty expenditure of resources. But anything is, I suppose. If you like oil paintings, there’s a drain on resources. If you like to spread oil on a friend? …A drain on resources. Take a drive, …drain. Cook a meal, …drain.

Sheeez, I take out the canoe to be near nature’s atmospheres? ..Drain!

There are some people who say that the vinyl industry is one of the most hellacious noxious industries ever; that it has claimed the lives & livelihoods of far too many an old guy. …From vinyl records to vinyl siding, death incarnate. BUT I dig our diminutive record collection and only regret never having put them all in airtight plastic sleeves ..because the covers are nearly all decomposing as of my last time playing with them. Whelp, so be it.

Where was I? …& CDs/jewel cases, I like ‘em. I like the ones that use less plastic and have creative ways of using paper. But then I do think about the trees and blatantly irresponsible logging practices and deforestation.

We spent years collecting records, cassettes, and CDs by the hundreds, and my son has more music in his iPod ..hahahah. I don’t know, it’s every man woman and child for ‘imself these days I guess. Even amongst friends………

music is music to my ears
