Gotta agree, IMO The National is the current flavor of the month, just as MGMT was and the Avett Brothers before that and Grizzly Bear before that and Vampire Weekend before that. Listenable and serviceable, but for me, ultimately forgettable. I am head over heels on the new Hold Steady and am getting ready to spin the new New Pornographers for the first time. Still trying to make up my mind on Roky Erickson as well.
