Being half Afrikaans, and therefore a sort of diluted Dutch, I hope to see the orange take victory tomorrow. This world cup has been an amazing experience, to be honest. The buzz in Jo’burg has been amazing. My wife and I had the good fortune to spend some time with Herring’s sister in law who came out here for a game. We tried to show her as much ‘stuff’ as we could last weekend, although we could have shown her a hundred more things and places… But the interesting part of it was re-seeing our own country and home town through someone else’s eyes. Getting a new perspective on certain things. I loved it. We did things we would normally not have done and had a blast. I never thought I would say this but its actually going to be a little depressing when the whole thing ends tomorrow night…But hey, I hear we’re putting in a bid for the 2020 Olympics…!
