I think you have a valid point, Mick, but the truth is this kind of thing is going on because the situation you are discussing goes well beyond just America. This is not just an American issue, it is much bigger than that, but it is true American politicians are willing to step up on the stage and play their parts in this sort of epic version of The Merchant of Venice. I do very much like the fact that you seem to hold Mr. Obama, liberals, and the USA to a higher standard...city on a hill, ain't it, could be again maybe...dreams are a funny thing and the cost quite high to make them come true...many pounds of flesh must be paid...
