The 1st portion of the following is a blurb from my end of a related discussion this afternoon...

Funny thing is, I don’t believe Mick thinks America is a bad place. I imagine he genuinely digs "America (in terms of what remains of the core illusion of human dignity & liberty)." As would any descendent of those good folk who have for æons been oppressed by "The Crown," perhaps the most grandiose authoritarian-flag-toting-land-grabbing-autocratic-stratagem since the dawn of man bar none--& what the brave new "Fractured America" is most closely related to at the core. "America" is okay, but I think Mick's just about had it up to here with “Its Handlers.” But Mick's shtick (Mick's lampoon) requires that he lump us all together---for sake o the sport of it. That’s my take anyway, FWIW. Can y’dig it?

Although you may sway me in the very near future, Mick, I still believe the above. Just because better'n 50% of Americans today are mouth-breathing muppets &/or said "Handlers" of such doesn't mean that America, the region, sucks. It JUST DOESN’T. I wish I could take you on a tour of the America I’ve known growing up. It's fractured now, but it hasn't always been from the perspective of "the people." Fact: Liars & thieves in high places broke it. It is a fact. Some of them may have thought they were being noble, some righteous, others were perfectly satisfied with direct lying & thieving. However it went down, it remains a fact. &, with regards to the people, there have always been shits ..but after a while one learns to spot 'em.

"Easterners" pushing as far "West" as your beloved Island-still-raped-&-pillaged-by-The-Crown-&-it’s-hirelings have admired/even envied “America” since your region’s "Handlers" (& some of your neighbors to the south) floated their malignant boats (& a portion of my own gene pool) over here and wiped out some of the most beautiful humans since the big bang ..by means of trickery, a leather-bound manual for divine deceit, and advanced trickery. But then if it weren’t England, then it would've been Germany, Japan, or China/Russia, etc.

This mutual hatred towards “America” (the region, rapt as are we all in fractured-earthly yin & yang) is just..so…precious. I have no doubt it’s fun. A kick. Just like all pop culture earthlings love to view & spew onto all those who topple from grace; it’s a base human [weakness] trait. Not everyone shares in it, but it's a biggy.

Paradigms shift.

Through books & other media & some (but not near enough) travels I've found something to like about most every region on this globe. But there are none that I'd rather have been born into. That's not to say I would have been better or worse for the birth, it's just that I am pleased to have lived in America. & I've watched the fractured human stain darken many o'place across the globe. & I've grieved for the people ..and the places. & I believe you too have grieved. Anyone with a benevolent pulse has grieved over the gradual loss of humanity, flora & fauna & watershed, for sake of greed..& hate. It is a pity..what our "Handlers" have done (for themselves, forsaking all others including their own future bloodlines). A sorrow to be counted! I can breath & I can hate too & I can separate the machinations of the greedy uberpowerful from the "people” just simply trying to make headway on a planet absolutely fucked by absolute fuckheads with the absolute authority of monopolized revenue streams & terror, East to West & to the moon & back. & sure as shit the ballance of good and evil has tipped wayyy over to the realm of lies & thievery side of the fulcrum ...across the globe. & all that grey area in between is where you and I have to hang our hats.

& still we, the people, fight over regions. We feed the monster.
