I have a very low end Android tablet called a Cruz Reader. Got it at Best Buy on sale for $100, don't know what it's currently going for.Decent e-reader, comes with Borders' ereader app which is probably useless going forward, but you can easily install the Kindle or Nook applications from an online market, along with a "generic" e-reader called "Aldiko", which I like a lot.It has wi-fi but no 4G/3G, and since it runs on Android you can set up your email, it has a web browser that lacks Flash capability, and it does a decent job with video and sound files. A bit smaller than an iPad, a bit larger than the standard Kindle, and it uses a resistance touch screen rather than the heat-sensitive type that the iPad uses. One of the advantages to it is that since it is Android based it is easily hackable for those so inclined. There are several web resources for information on hacks, I prefer this one: http://www.slatedroid.com/index.php?showforum=93
