Icon Re: Kevin Gilbert fans: Vinyl offer dissipates

(I pre-ordered two, but . . .) It was too expensive, and they don't advertise enough to catch eyes outside of a small fanbase. I'm happy that Jon Rubin has released so much additional Kevin Gilbert music with superb sound quality. But I am less than impressed with his marketing. That the albums aren't available at other outlets or at least via Amazon is surprising. Shaming could have fit on two lps, but with the new bonus tracks, it would have been 3 at audiophile quality. I would have thought that they could have done a non-bonus track version on 2 lp (and not 180 gram) for less. I don't really need or want prints, etc as an enticement). What would be welcome would be some additional comments as liner notes from the people who played on the album and/or finished it for him. Lots of interesting stuff there, I'll bet.

Maybe they'll do the Giraffe albums as stand-alones? Those would also benefit from new booklets with recollections from the other four players.
