The fact is that there are very many talented and motivated musicians out there so the supply exceeds demand and most of them need to hold down some sort of day job to make ends meet."I can't disagree with what you have said within the context of where you've said it; however, I do hold a candle for the day when artists and the work they produce will consider themselves outside of the factory / supply-demand chain model.I offer these thoughts for discussion:Make art. Create things that didn't exist until your vision put them to this earth. Sing and paint and sculpt, even though (even because) you won't likely get famous. The famous are not your competitors. You are your own competitor. As an artist, your most important struggles are with yourself.If you do not feel the "have to" of the art that you make, then maybe you should get on with something else that makes you happy.H4.5
