I've just bought three new CDs by Australian artists, with a fourth (by Josh Pyke) on the way.The first is by Seeker Lover Keeper - a collaboration between three well-known female singer-songwriters (Sarah Blasko, Sally Seltmann and Holly Throsby) - beautiful melodies and harmonies. The second is by Fatty gets a stylist which is another collaboration between one of my favourite female singers (Kate Miller-Heidke) and her on-stage partner Kier Nuttall - it's a bit more techno than her usual stuff, but still very catchy. The last is by Mark Seymour & the Undertow. Mark was the lead singer of the seminal aussie pub band Hunters and Collectors. We went to see him in Perth in January- what a wonderful performer - and he writes songs strong on social commentary - love it!
