We all know they both build the finest of guitars and they both use east Indian Rosewood on some of their models. Yet somehow Gibson got raided (by feds with guns drawn) over some obscure law in India (that even India doesn't care to enforce) about the importation of said wood.

Gibson's CEO has been saying this week that he was told by these jackboots that they wouldn't have had the problem if their guitars were built in Madagascar. Seriously? Ship American jobs to another country?

I guess it is no secret that Gibson's CEO supports both political parties but Martin's CEO only supports only democrats and I wonder if there is a connection to that?

And really, with Obama making his upcoming jobs speech crap like this is going on? What is the real motive here?

I find it peculiar that you can import illegal labor here in the US and get free support for that, but if you import (supposedly) illegal lumber you get a boot to the neck. Well, that is if you support "the other side" apparently.
