Thank you to all the people who gave me advice on our upcoming trip to NY. Several bits of advice have gone in my wife’s ‘little book of things to do in NY’,,,! Cassandra, my wife Kirsty is VERY excited about seeing the Hua Mei Bird Gardens…I need to ask for some more free advice, if that’s not too presumptious… the bulk of our accommodation is taken care of. The first part is in Tarrytown, for my work commitments and then we are doing a 4 day bus tour which takes us to Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Niagara Falls. We need to book the accommodation for the final days of our stay after returning from that trip. Manhattan itself seems to be a little pricey... What we have found which seems to be very reasonable is a place called the Super 8 in North Bergen NJ. It seems decent enough, well priced and a shuttle leaves from the hotel for Manhattan every half hour at $3 return. Does this seem like a good idea or should we rather pay the premium of staying on the island? Any comments and suggestions from anyone NOT named Mick?
