It shocks me that intelligent people -which I consider most herein- do not detect that the arch of governmental expansion isn't significantly altered, regardless of which party holds the Presidency, the House, the Senate, or as in the latter end of the Reagan years, all three branches simultaneously, and yet, the so-called social agenda of the right, is never shoved down anybodies throat. Roe was never overturned, the Department of Propagandizing was not eradicated, nothing substantial of the so-called rights belief system was enacted.

And if someone would care to point to privatization, I'd point out that the fraternal sibling of communism is fascism, and that privatization wasn't free enterprise but socialistic crony capitalism(capitalism being what it suggests, making money with money, not production, nor the sort of free enterprise that occurs between small scale entrepreneurs or barters', which are on different scale entirely, and not interchangeable in any respect.
