parades in Northern Ireland. Everyone loves a parade, right? Well, when the parade celebrates
your Christian denomination's victory over a rival Christian denomination hundreds of years ago,
the folks whose ancestors were on the losing end (hundreds of years ago) get pissed off. Given
all the attention paid to religious strife elsewhere in the world, I had foolishly assumed the
"troubles" in Northern Ireland were largely over. Wrong. The death grip of religion continues in
Christianity!
If only everyone on the Emerald Isle would follow Mick's example. "You must not act the way you were brought up."
