Driving home tonight I had Time of the Season by the Zombies playing and the fader and balance settings were just right because this song sounded just wonderful. And while listening to this song, I got to thinking about how those of many years ago who really loved new music must have felt about new emerging sounds and how many others will never experience and wonder like back then when it comes to music. Not that music can't be original and developed in ways never heard before, but how it must have been to experience this new emerging sound of rock and roll for the first time. I mean, coming from Big Band music, to Hit Parade type stuff, to this new sound and not have an idea of where it could go. Sure, we have "new" layers of music - electronica, grunge and so on - but nothing like back then. That would have been something to really experience......
