In short, he's saying you need to look for the cream of the crop from every area of the world. There
might be a bunch of junk floating around the airwaves, but the best of just about any genre is probably
worth a listen. Makes sense to me. And yes, a lot of Caetano Veloso's work is truly marvelous.
