I just saw this movie. It was one of the most disturbing and thought provoking movies I've seen in a long time. The violence in it is graphic and disturbing (some would even call it torture porn), but the violence in it does exist to further the story. It is hard to give a summary about because it's not what it seems and it is kind of marketed as a "horror" film when it is kind of more than that. It certainly is not for the weak of heart....
