This president is uniquely qualified to discuss the importance of a child needing two mature parents and our epidemic of out-of-wedlock births. I hope he raises this issue frequently because the message has to be internalized by American men. I would gladly endorse a massive series of public service announcements trumpeting his views. No, it wouldn't be panacea as the issue is so complex, but awareness of this subject needs to be heightened and conversations need to begin. And Michelle Obama could similarly speak to teenage girls and young women. If these conversations don't occur, a massive opportunity will have been squandered.
