Just returned from four nights in NYC. Hot as a bastard and after 1 1/2 nights without A/C in
the hotel, the Peter T. family emerged more than a little sleep deprived. Being accustomed to
Boston, it's a jarring transition to the enormity and intensity of NYC. One of the many
highlights was viewing the glorious Manhattan skyline from the Brooklyn side. It reminded me
of this gem from Garland Jeffreys:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPZ-Z7RNulQGarland recorded it around 77-78 and I'm mystified why it never received the acclaim it
deserves.Peter T.
