In all honestly, Ka Ka Kangaroo were terrific, Kathryn! They totally won over the crowd with
their humor, parody (or perhaps it wasn't meant to be parody), and joie de vivre! Think The
Wiggles with a rapping gay twist (and that's a compliment)! The Smith Street Band had moments of greatness (I shall see them again for sure). I was able
to chat with their leader, Will Wagner, afterwards. It was nice talking Weddings Parties
Anything, Mick Thomas, Paul Kelly, and The Go-Betweens with someone who was a fellow
fan. Really nice bloke with a lot of passion, heart and honesty. I can see why Turner fell for
them. And Frank was magnificent. We had a group of ten (mostly from my school) and were on the
lip of the stage (2500 fans made it a sell-out). My ears are ringing, the throat is raw from
singing along, but I'm totally energized. You must make the trek to Perth when next he
visits!Peter T.
