Well...I'm no audiophile, but recently I bought a Fiio X1 digital audio player (for 100 bucks..these have no internal memory and store music on micro high capacity cards up to 128 gig) and today I received a pair of Shure ear buds. The ear buds aren't the top of the line of course, but were very highly rated by Wired and other magazines. But for flying on the (relatively) cheap, I'm pretty impressed with both and am really enjoying what I'm hearing....I really wonder what the truly high end stuff sounds like...
