I appreciate the perspective you bring to the discussion, Marc. Even in my conservative days I never had a desire to own a gun. I had a Winchester model
94 rifle that I bought when I was maybe 16 to use for deer hunting one season. I gave it
away about 20 years ago. I enjoyed shooting it those few times I took it to the range but it
wasn't something that had me excited to go back and do again and again. I get that people want the ability to own their guns and I honestly don't have a good
answer for how we as a society go about reducing the number of gun related deaths. Do
people in other countries not hunt? What is different about us and this sort of obsession
we have with our guns?I do have concerns about the NRA and the ability they have to work people up into a sort
of oppositional frenzy whenever there's discussion (usually after a tragedy) about what to
do. No real discussion ever happens and we continue headlong further down the road
we're on. No, guns by themselves don't kill people but damn, they sure are involved in a lot of
deaths.Kevin ghttp://kevinandtammy.net/images/gilmore2/tim_keith_and_kevin_c_1974.jpg
