I didn't think I was going to be able to pull it off. When the web server people told me the news - I thought "well that's it then". Thankfully I found a straight forward converter for the access db - and then even more thankfully - the original board software more less worked with mysql without many tweaks. The real work came in getting the log-in feature also working with mysql. As for the load times of the main board site - I'm still sifting through some things. But it's probably more a feature of my not-really-a-programmer programming that's the problem.

I told my wife after she asked what I was doing up so late - "there are 12 other people out there who'll be really sad if I don't get this working." I just couldn't let them down...
