Peter - would completely agree on seeing Dan live. BUT. When living in
Charlottesville, VA about 10 or so years ago - Dan was coming to town. My
neighbor was a huge music fan - leaned heavily to The Who, Dylan, Neil and
Steve Malkmus and Pavement. I couldn't bring him over to Dan via his CD
releases - so I thought a live show would do the trick. BUT. Dan laid an
egg. I don't know if it was the acoustics or maybe he wasn't feeling well
- but needless to say - my neighbor Tom did not become a fan.
BUT
I think that was a fluke. Go see Dan if you get a chance. Take your
wife
and daughter - and cross your fingers.
