Lee:Thanks for the input --- and the web page. The TiVo subscription package is tied into my DirecTV
subscription, so that part doesn't bother me. As far as TiVo
keeping track of what I watch --- there really isn't anything on
TV that could get me into REAL TROUBLE anyway. Their
collecting viewer preferences affects the way the unit operates,
and once I learned about how it worked, it didn't bother me.The conversion of VHS into DVD for me does not include films,
as I would just go buy the DVD anyway. What I have are
lectures and documentary style VHS tapes. This would make
them easier to deal with all the way around.I am more than likely going to get ADOBE PREMIERE --- as I
already know the ADOBE nomenclature. I learned all of that
when I learned the publishing suite programs. As far as the horsepower is concerned I have that in spades.
Just in the RAM department --- I have 2 GB of SDRAM. Thanks for the tips . . . P n' P = KDB
