Well, I know that there are people out there that believe Trump's wall
nonsense but I just don't believe there are enough of these people to
elect him. My feeling is the numbers from the primaries just do not show
there are enough of that kind of lunatic voter for him to win in a
general election. I also want to say while Trump is a moronic clown and obviously is a
lightning rod for many of the vile segments of our society (which in many
ways is reason enough not to support him in any way and why I think some
people are closet Trump supporters) I do think there are people that
support him not because of racism, bigotry, hatred, fear, and his
pandering inflammatory statements...but rather just because they see him
as an outsider that is as disgusted by how our government functions as
they are. Is that a pretty weak reason to support him given all his other baggage?
You bet it is but we've been handed two awful candidates for president
and most sane people have to think up some sort of excuse to even show up
to vote for either one of them. That is truly a tragic state of affairs. Can Trump win?Mostly I think signs point to no. All the big money including on the
Republican side is behind Hillary Clinton. All of the elites in the
Republican party support Hillary in this election. So, the Democratic
establishment supports Hillary, the Republican establishment supports
Hillary, all of the big money backers (banks, Wall Street, big energy,
the military industrial complex) support Hillary...the media
establishment supports Hillary. Trump has his own money (which rumor has it is nowhere near what he
claims and he does not want nor can he afford to spend it) and a Twitter
account. He has nowhere near the staff he needs to run a national
campaign, no solid advisers because he won't listen to anybody, and
relies on gaining media attention by acting like an idiot. But hey, Vladimir Putin likes him...which in saner times would be all it
would take for middle America and the South to know this is not a guy you
want to vote for but presently...well...they seem oblivious to this. This all worked in the primaries when he combined it with making his
opponents look like the clowns they are during debates and television
appearances and the media did all they could to help him do so...but in
the general election when pretty much every entity you need (outside of
the actual voters) to win is against you...well...it would be basically a
miracle for him to pull that off. Plus the media has now turned on him. Oh sure, they still like him for
ratings but they are not going to entertain his nonsense the way they did
during the primaries when he was making the Republican party look like a
total joke. They enjoyed that. Oh no, now that he is the candidate he is
making all of America look like a total joke. That is not going to be
tolerated or spun in a positive way by the media. So, why fear Trump?Well, there is the scary idea that while most of America may be sane and
rational all Trump needs to do is flip Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania
into his column (and it sadly looks like New Hampshire could go Trump too
as the cherry on top of that shit flavored cake) and that actually looks
like it could be possible...if they really are counting votes in those
states. Combine this with the fact that Hillary Clinton is exactly the kind of
blundering, indecisive, do nothing, middle of the road, lifetime hack
politician that Americans seem to really have had enough of and one of
the worst public speakers ever that comes across as some sort of broken
automaton that is lying even when all she is doing is ordering coffee and
well...she makes people nervous. This is exactly the kind of politician
that Trump eviscerated during the primaries...so Hillary is literally the
perfect person for Trump to run against. An easy target. One Democratic campaign adviser said that if Hillary Clinton wants to win
this election what she should do is disappear until November
8th...literally hide in some bunker until then...because the only thing
that could make people not want to vote for her that currently plan to
vote for her is to have to see and hear her for the next three months.
Her numbers actually go down the more people see and hear her. That's why
the Clinton campaign has some sort of no interview policy. Sure, I can see how that would make people nervous. All that aside though, when all of the powers that be, foreign (well,
except for Vlad) and domestic, all the money, all the elites, the media,
all the top establishment people on both sides of the aisle, have come
together behind one candidate...well, aside from making me a little
nervous because rarely do you get that kind of unity particularly behind
a candidate that stinks as bad as Hillary Clinton...it pretty much makes
me think that boob Trump does not have a chance.
