the reason that your country is so split and have such hatred towards the other side is that you only have two parties to vote for. This makes it more and more impossible to make bipartisan legislation in a situation where everything is divided in partisan lines and no one steps up to the plate. This could all be mitigated if you had 5-8 parties (like most of the rest of the first world countries !!!), that HAVE to make compromises for the greater good. The road you are traveling now inevitably will lead to a new civil war. Good luck with that...
