Kevin.  The press has given our man George every pass imaginable.  They kissed his ass so much during the last election.  Do you vaguely remember how they (the press - and the o'hannilimbaughs) kept perpetuating the lie that Gore said he invented the internet.  Or the fact that they labeled Gore a liar and then just stuck with it throughout the campaign.  The press murdered Al Gore.  And for some reason - they've given George a pass ever since.  Oh yeah - there was the little respite they took with the whole WOMD thing...but that's so trivial anyway...right?
