I very much like the newest (My Stupid Heart (2015)) - it is just as good as Souls Core, but there are good songs on all of them. Also his version of "house of the rising sun" is by far my favorite version. It is included on the "9th Ward Pickin' Parlor" album, but is originally from a Katrina support album i think.

One of his misunderstood songs (that people play at baptisms and such) is "shimmer", which is very dark - it is really about how culture is what makes people good or bad... Depending on his mood on the day he sometimes chooses to end the song with "... and we will teach him how to hate... " in his signature dark voice ;-) I love it.... speaks to my inner cynic. Couldnt find a version on youtube but i got it on mp3...
