KDB, after reading your post, I find that I just can't get a handle on your take on cable TV.  I try to square it with the following quote from an earlier KDB message, and it just seems . . . inconsistent.

"Everyone I know that recently got laid-off has turned off their cable. Ironically, the less money one has the less informed they get to become. (TRUISM)" --KDB

So is turning off the cable a good thing, or is it a bad thing?  Does cable "inform" us as you say above, or does it merely peddle fear, as you say in the post to which I am responding?

Now before you start assuming that I cannot or do not read, or begin brow-beating or badgering me as you have continually done to so many here who respond to you, or asking me for my address so that you can bomb me with books, let me just say . . .

aw hell, just fire away Kent.

Enjoy.
