Crashing around in my skull are many things that I will admit are haunting me and causing me insomnia. I've gone a couple of times in the last year up to 4 days with no sleep. It's brutal actually and it stems from what I think is recognizing where what I have to label Right Wing extremists are attempting to drive this country.

So, here is what I see as the plan or pattern and while you can say what you want about me...I am not the only one that sees this...intelligent minds in Europe are watching closely and for damn good reason.

Before I go here, I do want to say there is some good news. This Trump presidency is going to end before he finishes his term as the evidence that I believe is being uncovered about him, evidence that I believe has been known for some time and the reason why both law enforcement and intelligence communities do not trust him, will force him out. Also both his son and his son-in-law are guilty of crimes that could land them in jail for significant amounts of time and the path to resignation has always seemed to run through making a deal to keep his family members out of jail. Just ask Mike Flynn about this. No, they won't "lock him up" as in the United States we do not jail presidents...so do not expect that despite the fact that the best place for Trump is jail.

So, before I begin to ramble here let me put the plan in front of you and you can judge it for yourselves. There are four areas under attack and an ongoing campaign to destroy them.

1. Destruction of the press/media - First order of business for these people is destroy all faith in the press/media to provide us with the truth. This began basically with the elimination of The Fairness Doctrine in 1987 and since then we have seen the destruction of print and news media and a full assault on them. I think we can say that this first step has been accomplished as a large percentage of the country now does not trust and will not listen to and will often do the opposite of whatever the press/media advises them of. We also have FOX "news" which acts as a propaganda wing of these extremists. The FCC has now just voted to eliminate Net Neutrality, this is vitally important to these extremists to clamp down on the internet another area where it has become too much of a nuisance to them that could interfere with the dumbing down of our society. Democrats will challenge this decision and any intelligent person will back the idea that the FCC should not at all touch the Net Neutrality rules. We are putting control of the internet into the hands of large corporations that can then manipulate it to their advantage...and the biggest advantage will be to control what we see and read on the internet. To put this in the hands of corporations is a horrible idea. We will see how this goes but a good percentage of the country has no idea what Net Neutrality is about so...not sure how much of a fight will be put up about this when we are in danger in so many other areas. However, as the FCC ended The Fairness Doctrine under a Republican president...they shall also attempt to put an end to Net Neutrality while Trump is in office. Control what people believe and poison the well and you control how they might vote.

2. Destroy faith in science - This has been an ongoing assault as it is important that the general public also have no faith in facts/truth/research. Yes, it would result in, as Dan points out, banning words but also banning procedures, research, advancements and any understanding of them. I would say this is probably at about 50% accomplished or more as most people in our society have little understanding of science so they equate it with faith in a god.

3. Destroy our educational system - So, this attack has also been ongoing as the best way to attack the way we think is to destroy our educational system. So, these extremists do not want to pay or support teachers, they see any form of advanced education such as attending a university as "evil" or "brainwashing" and not required, and a person like Betsy DeVos has been put in place to destroy our educational system. These extremists would prefer religious doctrine and ideas be forced on students because beliefs do not require facts or actual evidence. So, forcing religious doctrine on students is actually the polar opposite of education. This has been, at least on the East and West coasts and in more metropolitan areas much more difficult to accomplish but in Southern and Midwestern areas of the country shutting off funding for education has been much easier.

4. Destroy the justice system - We are now seeing this aspect kicked into high gear as Republicans and right wing nut job media like FOX, Breitbart, or Alex Jones attempt to destroy both the FBI (and Robert Mueller's investigation) and CIA and any faith in our justice system at all. The State Department has been gutted, Trump is waging a full on war against all regulations that protect the public so that corporations can't be held to account for what they do and the public will have no recourse so they can be raped and fleeced at will and public lands are being turned over for the use of private corporations. I can't really gauge yet how effective this attack on our justice and law enforcement system has been because it is only now being applied in some sort of potent form. They needed a front man like Trump to get this fully rolled out and only now are we seeing this fully exposed. Trump is attempting to stack the judicial system with truly idiotic nominees to further erode the system and basically a good portion of the country seems clueless about all this.
