My father's passing is going on nine years now and I miss him every day. Like so many others know, as fathers often are to sons, he was my best friend, my mentor, my rudder and anchor. One night while in his kitchen he played Gordon Lightfoot's Early Morning Rain for two of my very best friends and myself. Though we all had been well lubricated by spirits, he played the song flawlessly. While watching it, I KNEW it was a magical moment and I didn't want it to end. It was so specially done, I wanted to yell for him to do it again and again. I was breathless at what I had just witnessed. I remember that night so well and long for its return so badly. With that, in 2018 I wish this world could declare a war on "bad shit" everywhere. From bad shit culture, entertainment, people, behavior, commercialism - all of it. It would be so grand to have a world wide effort to promote the important and meaningful things in life and get off this soul depriving and life sucking drain of most things driven by American greed, enterprise and the chase of the fucking dollar and accumulation of wealth and "stuff." Best wishes to all DBInfo people and, of course, DB and his loved ones as well.....
