Well, about a month ago I ended up buying a pair of Sony WH-1000XM2 noise canceling over the ear headphones. This is it for my journey into the world of headphones (though I really would like to try a pair in the thousands of dollars just to hear what they sound like). Anyway, I do enjoy them and let me tell the DB fans out there -- one will not appreciate the quality of his sound until heard on good equipment. I cannot believe how good A Prisoner's Dream, Secret Silken World and Sirens in the City sound (and this is not to exclude his other music). Now, I knew that Sirens and Secret would sound great, but listening to A Prisoner's Dream just blows me away. There is one drawback though - due to the way these types of headphones cancel out sound there is a possibility of getting hit with a minor bout of motion sickness. No kidding... still, the sound is great...
